Iron Maiden en Peru... Jueves 26 de Marzo, 2009...

La fiebre por el concierto de Iron Maiden en Lima ha desatado una expectativa sin precedentes. Las entradas para el concierto salieron a la venta exactamente faltando dos minutos para la medianoche, y la página donde se vendían, http://www.tuentrada.com.pe/ sufrió la visita de miles de fans de la doncella desesperados por conseguir los codiciados pases. Iron Maiden - A matter of life and death (2006)

En el otoño de 2006, Iron Maiden lanza su decimocuarto álbum de estudio titulado "A Matter of Life and Death". Aunque no es un álbum conceptual, los temas de la guerra y la religión son repetidos a lo largo de las canciones. El título del album "A Matter Of Life And Death" también está relacionado con el tema de la guerra, titulada como la pelicula del año 1946 película cuyo principal personaje es piloto de la Royal Air Force., al igual que las carátulas e impresos.

Luego, continuó una exitosa gira en Norteamérica y Europa, en la cual tocaron el álbum en su totalidad, por primera vez en la historia de la banda. Luego la agrupación anunció el lanzamiento de un álbum en vivo de la reciente gira.

Es un set de 3 DVD, con el primer DVD siendo el concierto en el audio de 5.1 Digital, el segundo DVD que es el concierto en estereo,y el tercer DVD contiene contenido especial,incluyendo el making-off del DVD y todos los videos promocionales de disco "Dance of Death".Según se informa,el segundo DVD tenia ciertas fallas de sonido.

Iron Maiden - Dance of death (2003)

En 2003 Iron Maiden se dedica a grabar el nuevo álbum de estudio, Dance of Death. El primer tema del disco, titulado Wildest Dreams, fue presentado un tiempo antes en la gira "Give Me Ed... Til I'm Dead" que comenzó en la ciudad española de La Coruña y en la que se grabaría el concierto en directo del festival "Rock-am-Ring" de Alemania.

Posteriormente, esa grabación fue puesta en Internet, en el sitio oficial, como promoción. A continuación se lanzó el single Wildest Dreams, incluyendo una versión orquestral de Blood Brothers, y una semana después fue lanzado el tan esperado álbum.

Rock in Rio es un álbum en vivo realizado en Brasil durante el festival Rock in Rio por la leyenda del heavy metal, Iron Maiden. Esta presentación se caracterizó por presentar las canciones más conocidas y destacadas del grupo, además de estar marcado por el retorno del vocalista Bruce Dickinson y el guitarrista Adrian Smith.

"Está grabado con toda la fuerza que tiene una actuación en vivo, teniendo en cuenta que en el lugar había cerca de 200 mil personas viviendo a pleno el festival, que a mi juicio tendría que hacerse todos los años", remarcó Dickinson.

En cuanto al momento que vive el heavy metal en el mundo, Dickinson argumentó que "siempre han tratado de matar al heavy, pero gracias a la gente sigue vivo y hoy más que nunca.

........"La música lo es todo para mí. Puedo hacer otras cosas, como la pintura y la escritura, pero la música es lo que me lleva la mayor cantidad de tiempo y a ella me debo".. Aportó.

Iron Maiden - Brave New World (2000)

Un gran disco que les valió una nominación a los grammy como mejor canción de Hard Rock por el tema "The Wickerman". Como novedad, además del trío de guitarras y la vuelta de Dickinson, fue la vuelta (por lo menos colaborando) de Derek Riggs en el arte de tapa. La gira de presentación incluyó varios países de Sudamérica.

La canción Brave New World y la carátula del álbum están inspiradas en la novela de Aldous Huxley "Brave New world" ("Un mundo feliz" en su edición en castellano) que trata sobre un mundo futurista distópico.
