Aunque no todo es Ginecologìa.....Además existe, en relación con lo expuesto antes, la especialidad de obstetricia. a tal punto que casi todos los ginecólogos modernos son también obstetras.

Como ocurre en el resto del ejercicio de la medicina, las herramientas principales para el diagnóstico ginecológico son la historia clínica y la examinación física.
